Happy Holidays for 2024 from The Portland Ornament
Continuing to provide cherished ornaments featuring the City of Roses and the Emerald City! Thank you for your interest in the Portland Ornament and the Seattle Ornament series. For over 25 years, Betty Gimarelli commemorated the sights and history of both Portland and Seattle, two cities that brought much joy to Betty and her family. Betty also created many beautiful commissioned specialty ornaments.
For collectors, please note this year we have added some additional inventory of hard-to-find ornaments from our archive collection, so please check for availability.
Although we are not currently producing new ornaments in the series, we are pleased to continue to offer many ornaments for sale from previous years. Please click on Portland Ornament, Seattle Ornament and Specialty Ornaments to see the full range of available ornaments!
Be sure to place your order now for your 2024 Christmas gift giving. Order by December 12th to ensure shipment before Christmas (recognizing delivery is dependent on USPS delivery schedules)!
Happy holidays!
Betty Woods Gimarelli / Artist-Designer
In December 2013, Betty passed away following a brief and unexpected diagnosis of terminal cancer. Her husband, Jim, also recently diagnosed at the time with a terminal illness, passed away only hours before. After 25 terrific years, it seems only fitting that her final ornament celebrated the "wonderful life" that she shared with Jim, her family, and all of us.
Below are two ways in which you can honor Betty's legacy:
- Make a donation to the James & Betty Gimarelli Scholarship Fund. Your gift today supports the creation of a very special on-going scholarship endowment that is having a lasting impact on future students within our community.
- Learn more about Betty & Jim's story. Through 60 years of marriage, Jim and Betty were inseparable. Read The Oregonian article from Christmas 2013.
